The nationally known Cowboy Trail passes through town with an excellent opportunity to travel cross country via hiking or biking on a safe passage. One can view a variety of settings from farming country to nature and wildlife settings and on to the wide open ranching country.

Clearwater boasts of the annual Big Rodeo as one of the finest in Nebraska. The Big Rodeo is a several time winner of the Mid-States Rodeo Associations Best Rodeo award. It is held for 3 nights on the last full weekend of June. The Big Rodeo attracts a total attendance of 6,000 - 8,000 people. Sand Volleyball Tournament

9 pm - Emmet Bower band opening for Eric Paslay
James Lee Band will close

Sunday
7 pm - Muttin Bustin ~ 7:30 pm - Rodeo
